Here's a simple recipe for rice cutlets:

  Ingredients:

  • 1 cup cooked rice

  • 1 boiled and mashed potato

  • 1 small chopped onion

  • 1 tsp chopped ginger

  • 1 tsp red chili powder

  • 1/2 tsp garam masala powder

  • 1/2 tsp cumin powder

  • 1 tsp chat masala

  • Salt to taste

  • 2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves

  • 1 green chilli

  • 2 tsp refined floor

  • 1 tsp corn flour

  • water

  • Bread crumbs

  • Oil for frying

Instructions:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked rice, mashed potato, chopped onion, chopped ginger, red chili powder, garam masala powder, cumin powder, salt, and chopped coriander leaves and green chilli. Mix well until everything is combined.

  2. Shape the mixture into small cutlets or patties. You can make them in any shape you like.

  3. Dip each cutlet into the corn, refined flour and water mixture , making sure it is coated well.

  4. Roll the cutlet in the bread crumbs until it is coated on all sides.

  5. Heat some oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, place the cutlets in the pan.

  6. Fry the cutlets until they are golden brown and crispy on both sides. This should take about 3-4 minutes per side.

  7. Once the cutlets are cooked, remove them from the pan and place them on a paper towel to absorb any excess oil.

  8. Serve hot with your favourite sauce or chutney. Enjoy!
