Shrikhand
Shrikhand is a popular Indian dessert made from strained yogurt, sugar, and various flavorings such as saffron and cardamom.

Ingredients:
2 cups plain yogurt
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1/4 teaspoon saffron
1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder
1 tablespoon warm milk
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg powder
Chopped nuts for garnish (optional) & saffron
Instructions:
Place the yogurt in a clean muslin cloth or cheesecloth and hang it over a bowl for 2-3 hours to drain excess water. You can also use a strainer lined with a paper towel or coffee filter to strain the yogurt.
In a small bowl, soak saffron in warm milk for 10-15 minutes.
In a mixing bowl, take strainer or muslin cloth place hung curd over it strain it again for good smooth texture.
Add powdered sugar, cardamom powder, nutmeg powder and soaked saffron with milk. Mix well.
Chill the shrikhand in the refrigerator for at least an hour before serving.
Garnish with chopped nuts and saffron if desired.
Enjoy your homemade shrikhand as a sweet and refreshing dessert or as a side dish with your favourite Indian meal. It pairs very nice with poori(fried Indian bread).
